Conference Report Thanks to all 384 paid registrants who attended this conference! We had a great mix of teachers from public and independent schools, representatives from the Ministry of Education, university faculty, and student teachers.

BCTELA heads into 2008 with a renewed energy and vigour. Our membership numbers are the highest they have been for many years, thanks to all of you who attended our fall conference “Writing Ourselves: Reading the World.”
